Review: Pure & Essential Minerals Dead Sea Mud Mask

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.

I am a long time user of Dead Sea Mud products, I have tried all sorts of things from all sorts of companies. I know what to expect and love about Dead Sea Mud.

First things first, the mask smells horrific. From the second I opened the container, all I could smell was this foul, pungent, yucky scent. The last thing I wanted to do was put it on my face, but I did. That's when I noticed that the texture was pretty gross as well. Very slimy, mucky, and the product in the jar shook like a gelatin. Again, just not quite something you wanna put on your face. But I went for it. And with the end results I'm glad I did.

I put it on, and let it sit for about 15-20 minutes. At that time it was fully dried on my skin, and I was ready to wash it off. When I did, my skin felt very clean and refreshed. I immediately applied a moisturizer after washing to lock in all that moisture. My skin felt very hydrated, soft and smooth. Redness I normally get was toned down quite a bit. So dealing with the smell and texture was worth it.

My only wish is that this would be reformulated to have a better scent and texture. Like I said, I am no newbie to Dead Sea Mud products, so I know that you get a very earthy scent. But this one was just way too pungent! I guess with this mask you have to take the good with the bad. The end results will be worth it!

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
