Adovia Exfoliating Facial Sea Salts- Review

I am a lover of Adovia products, so I was pretty excited about this one since I have yet to have a complaint about anything by Adovia. However this Exfoliating Facial Sea Salts just wasn't for me.

The amount of product you get in this container is above and beyond expectations. It is filled to the brim with the sea salt. However this was quite troublesome when trying to open. When I first opened it, salt went everywhere in my home. Even I was covered in salt. Because its a fine grain salt, like table salt, cleaning it up was a job. Many of the grains get stuck in between the lid and the container, so when you go to open it, salt comes out. I ended up placing mine in a different container that was mess free.

Now onto using it. I love all sorts of bath and body salts. Being that this is for your face, it makes sense that the salt grains are small. However I found trying to exfoliate with this quite difficult. I would apply some on my finger tips, and place it on my damp face and being doing circular motions. Within 20 seconds the salt had disintegrated and I had to dip my fingers into the salt to get more to use. Now this did work great at exfoliating my skin in the first few seconds of use, however it just didn't last. I ended up mixing some of the salt in with a cleanser that I have, and it worked a bit better that way.

At the end of the day I did find a great use for this... adding it to my pedicure routine. I simply add in a few scoops to the water, and let my feet soak.

My overall rating of this would be like 3.5 stars, because it does have some faults, but using it for my feet has been wonderful. If the container was fixed so the product doesn't easily spill out, I would change this rating to a 4.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
