EatSmart Precision Pro Digital Food Thermometer | Review





Prior to this, I had never owned a kitchen thermometer, now I don't know how I got by without one!

I like to cook on a daily basis, and most days that includes cooking some sort of meat. Before I had a kitchen thermometer I would just cook the meat until I thought it was done. Half of the time I would have to cut open the meat, to visually see if it was fully cooked or not. In the process of having to do that, lots of juices from the meat would be lost from having to cut it open, thus leaving the meat dry. With the EatSmart Precision Pro Digital Thermometer I can just place it into the meat (only creates a small puncture) and I can get a accurate reading of the meat temperature. This thermometer comes with a handy cover that has a guide of what each type of meat should read when cooked.

Since I got this in the mail I have been using it for all of my dishes, on chicken, pork and beef. I have a better feeling now when I cook the meats knowing that the meat is cooked to a proper temperature. No worries about any possible under cooked meat, thus making me and my family sick.

Using the thermometer is so simple. Remove the cover, and turn it on. Place the needle part into your food, and within a few seconds I have a temperature reading. The screen is easy to read. Cleaning is a breeze. I wash by hand with hot water and soap. I would say to be sure adults handle this, because the needle is sharper on the end, and we don't need little hands getting hurt. To turn off, simply hold the power button for a few seconds and you will see it shut off. Be sure to insert it into it's anti-microbial sleeve after washing and it's power is off!

Overall this is a fantastic product that I am very glad to now have in my home! I give this a full 5 star rating!
