Some how I did not have a cutting board in my home. I always just used flimsy plastic mats, that were far from sturdy. I have had this extra large bamboo cutting board in my home for a few weeks now, and I find myself using this all the time now instead of my plastic mats.

I use this for 2 main foods, meats and dough. I like to pound out chicken breasts, and steak before cooking, and I can do this safely with this bamboo cutting board. Its large enough for me to fully flatten out a piece of meat, and I have plenty of work space to get it just to the right thickness. It is sturdy, and it is holding up great. I also use this when I roll out dough, my favorite use is when I am making homemade pasta. When I want the dough to be a bit more rectangle shaped, I roll it out on this cutting board, and I can roll it out thinly, and have it in just the right shape for easy cutting. For cutting and rolling, I love this cutting board!

My only problem with this, I find that some of my meats when I am cutting them up on this board will get stuck to the board. Then when I wash it, I have little pieces of meat all over the place that can be pretty hard to get up. However I did find a fix for this. I took canola oil, and rubbed it all over the surface of the side that I use for cutting meat. I put a good layer on, let it sit for a hour, and then wiped it off. Nothing sticks to it anymore and it has worked great!

This is a great cutting board, very durable, strong, heavy duty and everything I look for in a quality product. 5 stars all the way!
