- HIGHEST BIOPURITY PROFILE - Summit Nutrition's Whey Protein Isolate gives 90% of protein per scoop (25/27.7g) and maximum amount (5.6 GM) of BCCAs and (4.8 GM) of Glutamines per serving size and it's ALL COMING FROM THE PROTEIN NOT EXTERNALLY ADDED. -  WHAT IS PROTEIN OR AMINO ACID SPIKING??? - Many National Brands has added extra cheap Amino Acids like Taurine, Glycine, Glutamines and Creatine to the protein powders even though they are not Food Based Protein, but added to be calculated as protein to lower the cost since they are much cheaper to manufacture. There are class action lawsuits cases against those companies (Mostly National Brands). We don't MAKE PROTEIN COMPLEX Whey Protein Isolate with Whey concentrate to bring cost down. So look at your Protein supplement fact and find out what is with Protein and make your choice.

I am embarking on a weight loss journey, and I have been interested in whey protein and finding how it would work in my diet plan. I got the single serving packets, and I used 1 shake at lunch time over the past week (did 1 shake every other day). I was kind of worried at first that I might not like the flavor. I have tried a few whey protein shakes in the past, and some just had a horrible flavor, while others weren't too bad. In all honesty I have to say that this one by Summit Nutritions is probably one of the best tasting shakes I have tried. I got the Natural Alpine Vanilla flavor, and to me it tasted like a vanilla milkshake. Very delicious, and when I mixed it with a oat bar at lunch, I was perfectly full, and remained full for hours. I didn't experience any after tastes, or anything.

I would recommend using this with a bottle that has a shaker in it. I could not find mine to save my life, and ended up having to mix it by hand with a spoon. Needless to say it was a bit chunky, but by the 2nd shake, I kinda had it mastered.

If you are looking for a good whey protein shake to add into your diet, I give this one a full 5 star rating.

Diet Diaries #4 | One Month of Weight Loss Reflection

Hi lovies! This past weekend I hit my 4th week on my weight loss journey. I have made myself so proud by sticking with it for this long, it means I am determined!

After this month I have come to learn so much about weight loss. I have learned that small steps lead to great accomplishments. I have learned that I can have a bad day, pick myself up, and strive for better on the next. I have also found how to balance my old ways with my new lifestyle.

The biggest change for me has been my eating habits. I am becoming less and a emotional eater, or a bored eater. I am focusing now on meals that are good for me, that still taste amazing and don't break the bank. Meal prepping has been the biggest help to me in my weight loss journey so far. Usually in my home, Sundays are prepping day. I will make up 2 or more meals to have for the week. I no longer have an excuse to make poor meal choices. Everything is easily accessable and right there for me. I am working hard at making my portion sizes more adaquate, however I am keeping watch of my daily allowed calories, and only 2 times this month did I go over calorie budget.

That brings me to my next thing. Calorie counting. It has helped me out so much. I know now what amount of food my body needs to be at its best, without going over. I track my calories daily and it really helps. I use the app Lose It! and it so far is amazing. Tracking with it is so easy! I highly recommend it! Within the next few months, I will be using my calorie counter less and less because this is something that I need to have fully set in my mind, and not rely constantly on something telling me where I'm at. Plus I won't lie, calorie counting can at some points drive you crazy. But I promise, it does help when you're starting out!

Another thing that really hit me this month was when I fit into my first set of "goal" jeans. I had a pair of jeans that I loved and would wear all the time, then I gained weight and I couldn't fit in them anymore. The last time I tried them I couldnt get them to button to save my life. This past week, I wore them out shopping. I was so happy!

Overall in this first month, I have learned to never under estimate myself. I am strong. And I can do this!

So lets get into the 1 month weight loss! My goal was 10 pounds, which if you remember, last week I reached that goal!

For my final weigh in for March, I lost 2 pounds, bringing my total weight loss to 12 pounds!

I hope anyone else who is on a weight loss journey is doing well. Keep going loves!

Dessange Paris California Blonde Shampoo, Conditioner and CC Creme | How I Care For My Color Treated Blonde Hair

I am a natural blonde, however my hair is more of a darker blonde shade. For years I have always lightened it to a more extra light blonde color. In that time I have used so many different products made specifically for blonde hair that claim to be "salon quality" and in all honesty, I just never found them to work for me. They always seemed to be on par with regular drugstore brands. Nothing to write home about.

I was sent a couple hair care products from a line that has recently launched here in the USA called Dessange Paris. Right away I thought it was going to be a bit of a gimmick, like so many of the others. The 3 products I was sent are part of their California Blonde line, which of course is made specifically for us brilliant blondies! First we have the Illuminating Shampoo, then the Illuminating Conditioner, and finally the CC Brass Color Correcting Creme. All 3 are made for color treated blonde hair. All seemed like a perfect match for me and my hair. So for the past few weeks I have been religiously and exclusively been using only these Dessange Paris products on my hair. So here are my final thoughts!

I have to say that I am 100% completely in love with both of these. My hair feels incredibly soft, and so manageable after using these together. I start off by using a quarter size amount of shampoo in my hair, and lather it up in my hair. I am sure to really work it in, and give my scalp a good scrub down. I work this in, focusing a lot around my hair line, since thats the area where I tend to get dry and sometimes flaky. After about 2 minutes, I rinse my hair. The scent of the shampoo (as well as the conditioner) is a bit floral with a slight nutty scent. Both have passion flower extracts in them.

Once the water is clear, I take a quarter size of conditioner, and I focus that mainly from my mid-length hair down through my ends. My hair is baby fine, and if I put conditioner on the top near my roots, my hair will just be completely flat. Plus the roots really don't need the conditioning since they are so close to my scalp which produces natural oils. Once worked into my hair, I let it stay on my hair for a good 2-3 minutes (longer if I need deep conditioning), and then rinse it out.  After towel drying for a bit, I take my hair down to naturally air dry.

Once my hair is dry, I am easily able to brush out my hair. No snarls, and less frizz. My hair looks gorgeous! It bounces when I walk, and honestly my hair feels the best and looks the best that is has in well over 10 years! I have been raving about Dessange Paris to all of my family and friends! I am beyond impressed! Definitely a company that I will be sticking with, and purchasing!

As I said above, I color my hair to a much lighter shade. I tend to choose neutral or cool toned blonde shades, simply because my hair is naturally quite golden. Because I choose these "blue" based blonde shades, my hair easily tarnishes in color and can become brassy. I have used purple and blue based shampoos and treatments for a while, and I always had 2 big issues with all of them. First, they would be hard to peg just the right amount of time to leave on my hair. Too little time and I don't reach any results. Too long of a time and my hair will have a purple, blue or gray hue to it. It was frustrating. I would waste a lot of product trying to reach just the right tone. Second problem, all of these treatments and shampoos would wreck havoc on my hair. After washing the product out, my hair would feel incredibly dry, and I would end up having to do a couple oil and conditioning treatments just to bring my hair back to life.

Because I was having such great results with the Dessange Paris shampoo and conditioner, I had high hopes for this... and let me just say this CC creme broke all my expectations and made me so happy with the results it gave me.

The creme is a indigo color, very opaque. I applied enough to my hair so all strands were coated, and let it sit on my hair for 10 minutes, the longest amount of time listed on the bottle since my hair was super brassy. I admit at first I was kinda scared I'd end up with blue hair, but I didn't. After 10 minutes, I rinised out the creme, and again let my hair air dry. When it was done, I brushed it out and was shocked. I had the color blonde that I have been wanting for so long, but brassy tones always hid. I was beyond happy, and that completely sealed my stamp of approval for the Dessange Paris products!

I cannot begin to tell everyone how much I recommend this company. You can currently find Dessange Paris products at Target. They are a bit on the more expenisve side for some, coming in at $9.99-$11.99, but they are 100% worth every penny!

A big thank you to Influenster for senidng these products to me complimentary to review!

Hair Symphony Scarlet Detangler and Black Satin Paddle Brush | Review

Scarlet Detangling Brush

The Scarlet Detangling Brush comes from the request of high end salons and appraised hair dressers. They needed the perfectly designed datangling brush, but with a more elegant feel. We came up with the red satin finish to express the passion and elegangance of using this detangler brush. The brush not only looks amazing, but the grip has now significantly improved for the professionals’ requirements for longer use. With customers always looking for the best quality products, we pay great attention to functionality and durability. That is why we offer 100% Money Back Guarantee for 90 days if you are not satisfied with the results. That is how confident we are that our brushes deliver results!

Black Satin Paddle Brush

A mandatory piece in every girl's or woman's toolkit! We are aware of the fast development in design and materials used in hair styling tools. So we wanted to raise the bar even more and present you the Hair Symphony Black Satin Paddle Brush. The large pad and carefully aligned pins make the experience of brushing you hair more pleasant and relaxing. The custom grip allows greater handling and the satin finish reduces and even eliminates static.

I am on a journey to reach healthier hair, and for some reason I never stopped to think that half of my hair problems might be a result from the brush that I was using. I recently started using this brush set from Hair Symphony, and I am very pleased so far.

I use the detangler brush on my damp hair. It is gentle enough for me to use on my hair when it is damp, and doesn't break my hair, or pull on my hair. I also use this brush when I have tangles in my hair that I just can't work out. The design of the brush makes it easy to hold and it also gives you a nice secure grip. I have used brushes like these in the past, however they all didn't have handles on them, so using them could be tricky at times. This one is fantastic!

For the paddle brush, I use that on dry hair. It is large enough to cover a good amount of my hair in one swipe. Like the detangler brush, it is gentle on my hair, and doesn't break or pull. This easily glides through my hair, and if there are any minor tangles, it safely eliminates them all with no pulling or pain. This brush works really well for spreading product around through my hair as well.

The final thing that I love about this set is that it comes with its own carrying case, big enough to hold both brushes at the same time. This is great for keeping your brushes clean, plus it makes travelling with them so much easier!

Hands down I am very pleased with the Hair Symphony brush set, and give them my full recommendation!

Hairsentials by Flawless Botanics | Review + Giveaway

via Amazon / Hairsentials

I have been taking this Hairsentials supplement for a couple of weeks now, and I have already started seeing results. My hair is medium to long length, and lately it seems to grow at a slower pace than it did a few years ago. I have been looking to try something to help my hair and boost up the growing process. I have been using Hairsentials for a bit now, and I am quite pleased so far!

A bit about my hair, it is baby fine, color treated, dry, damaged, and brittle. I am on the quest for healthier hair, and I am finally on the right road now that I have been taking this supplement. My hair has grown almost a half inch already, and I am still not done taking the supplement. I was honestly quite surprised when I took out the measuring tape to see if I had results.

I have not had any side effects from this supplement, no after tastes, or anything. For some this may be a bit of a TMI moment, but I will say that the pills did effect the color of my urine. The pills are coated in a yellowish-orange coating and a couple hours after taking this, my urine will come out super bright yellow. Nothing to be alarmed with, so if it happens to you, don't worry!

Overall I am very pleased with the Hairsentials supplement. It is doing wonders for my hair! I give this my full recommendation!

Diet Diaries #3 | I Lost 10 Pounds!

First off, I want to apologize for the delay of this weeks weigh in. I actually forgot to post this blog this past weekend, and just rememberd it today! Oh well, only 2 days late!

This week I finished my 3rd consecutive week of my weight loss journey, and I have to say that I am amazed at just how much I am adjusting to my new lifestyle. What honestly has helped me so far is knowing that I can still eat the things that I love, just eating them in moderation. I have also noticed that now I am more health concious when I am picking out my foods. I am still counting calories, but it is almost becoming to the point where I don't need that little reminder of what my calories are at any given moment. I know now what I can eat, and how much. I know what will send my calorie budget over the limit.

So far my biggest change that has helped me out so much has been meal prepping. On Sundays I figure out what I want to have for the week, and I will make it up. Once it cools, I split it equally into portions, and freeze it. Then during the week I can simply go to the freezer, grab a homemade meal that is all set and ready to be eaten within minutes. I like cooking the things myself because I know exactly what is going into each meal. Over the past 2 weeks of meal prepping, I have made a homemade lasagna, homemade sesame chicken and rice, and a homemade chicken pot pie. Normally buying these things at a restaurant, or even in the frozen foods section would be a huge no no. But where I am making it all myself, I can control how much of the good things I put in, and leave out or lessen the bad things. The next meal I have planned to add into my weekly prep will be a homemade meatloaf with veggies.

This week I also hit my goal of getting in 3 miles on the elliptical machine! I cannot believe that just 3 weeks ago, I could honestly only do about 2 minutes on the elliptical before I felt like I was dying. Now I am going 10-15 minute spans without stopping, and getting in a mile each time. Again, I  know this isn't much, but for someone who didn't work out at all, this is a big improvement!

Okay onto this weeks weigh in... 2 pounds lost! Yay!! That brings my total now to 10 pounds lost! I am very happy to reach this milestone and goal!

Wellness Kittles Grain-Free Salmon & Cranberries Recipe Crunchy Cat Treats | Review

Its a new month which could only mean that Anna and Bailey have a new product to review from their friends at! This month they have been busy trying out the Wellness Kittles Grain-Free Salmon & Cranberries Recipe Crunchy Cat Treats.

As I have mentioned many times, I like to give my cats treats in moderation to give them a bit of change from their normal daily dry cat food, and I use them as a way to play with them and get them moving. Both Anna and Bailey love to have a cat treat tossed across the floor, and they go running for it!

I gathered both Anna and Bailey in their napping spots and opened up the bag. Immediately they both rose to their feet... errm, paws. Just the crinkle of the bag gets their curious minds going! I let each one take a good whiff of the bag, and that was it. Both were trying to reach their paws over to grab the bag and dig in! I grabbed a few treats, and split them between both cats. They each dove right in! I could smell the treats, and they do have a very potent salmon smell. I did my test of holding the bag open in front of them, and both Anna and Bailey stuck their noses in the bag to try and pull out their own treats. I honestly was shocked that they liked the treats as much as they did. About 6 months or so ago I tried giving them treats that had blueberries in it, and they completely turned their noses. I am very glad to see that they went crazy over the Wellness Kittles!

They have been crunching on these for 2 weeks or so now, and they are quite pleased! Anna has even taken the liberty of trying to sneak up to where I keep the bag of treats, and help herself! I swear, cats are just as bad as children!

The Wellness Kittles are a big hit in my home, and I'm sure they will be in yours as well!

So what is the rating that Anna and Bailey give the Wellness Kittles from  5/5 paw rating!

Deanamic Driven Infinity Scarf | Review

With so many beautiful colors offered in this scarf (white, pink, black, gold, beige, blue, red) I decided to go with the beige. I have a bunch of multi-colored scarves in my collection, but I was lacking in something neutral toned. So the beige color just spoke to me!

First let me start off by saying that the scarf material is super soft, and not at all scratchy or rough. It has a very cozy feeling. The length of the scarf makes it perfect to wear in a couple different styles, my 2 favorites being double wrapped around my neck, and one part wrapped around my neck and the other over my head, almost like a hood. It goes great with casual outfits, however I was also able to add it with a fancier coat, and it was easily dressed up.

Second, I love how warm this kept me. I live in Northern New England, and winter is still in full effect here right now even though spring is just around the corner. Prior to getting this scarf, I was using normal wrap around style scarves that would tend to fall off my neck when the wind would blow. My infinity scarves that I did have were thin, and made more for use as a fashion accessory than practical uses. This scarf kept my neck warm, and when I would wrap part of it over my head, my neck, ears and head stayed nice and warm.

I am beyond pleased with this scarf, and look forward to using it again next fall and winter!

Wicked Crown Temporary Hair Color Chalk | Review

Ever since hair chalk became all the craze, I have been dying to try it. However in the stores near me that have carried hair chalk, the colors are always so limited. Usually only 3 colors in a pack. So really not much of a selection. I was recently introduced to the Wicked Crown Temporary Hair Color Chalk, and I have to say I am in love!

Most modern guys and gals are familiar with hair chalk, however in case you are a bit late on the trend, hair chalk is just that, a chalk that you use in your hair that gives you a temporary color. The hair chalks literally almost feel exactly like the old school chalk you used to use in school, however a bit softer, and a huge color range.

To use the hair chalk you simply wet a section of hair, I do sections of 1" or less at a time. Then take the chalk color of your choice and run it through your hair, kinda like you are coloring your hair. I find best, opaque results with hair that is quite damp, but not dripping wet. I have light blonde hair, so the colors show up very well on me, unfortunately I cannot comment on how they work with darker hair. I do also recommend wearing a old shirt, or a dark shirt when applying, just to avoid any possible staining. Gloves for your hands are also a good bet as well!

The Wicked Crown Temporary Hair Color Chalk set has 12 "Wicked Crown Jewel" Colors. It contains a white, red, green, purple, brown, blue, pink, orange, yellow, darker blue, black, and a light pink. Talk about a killer selection of colors! I really like that they included 2 shades of blue, and 2 shades of pink in this set, this is amazing for creating an ombre effect on your hair.

I absolutely love these hair chalks. They are so richly pigmented, it only takes a few quick swipes and I have perfectly opaque colored hair. They are great for temporary wear, however you can use a flat iron or curling iron to help seal in the color and make it a bit more vibrant. I found that doing this also helped the color last longer in my hair. Removing the chalk from my hair was simple, just wash and condition. Easy peasy. I was worried that with my super blonde hair, it might stain, but it didn't. I tried all the colors and none left any residue on my hair.

I highly recommend trying these if you are looking for good quality hair chalk, or just want to play around and add some color into your hair. These are great for anyone, including kids. Also great to have on hand for parties, and holidays!

Dial Miracle Oil Body Wash | Review

I have a very hard time finding a body wash that fits my needs. Something that will obviously do a good job at cleaning my body but not dry out my skin. Because it is still winter time here in New England, and it is still pretty chilly, my skin has been very dry. My prior body wash just wasn't doing anything to help hydrate and nourish my skin. Naturally when I was given the opportunity to try out the new Dial Miracle Oil Body Wash, I jumped on it!

I have been using this daily for a little while now and I absolutely love this body wash. I think this even ranks in my top 5 all time favorite body washes... yes its that good! It has a great light floral scent, one that is fairly unique compared to the other body washes I have ever used. Makes me feel like I am off in some tropical paradise! The body wash itself foams up very nicely and gives a great lather. I like to use a loofah in the shower, so I just squirt a quarter sized amount on the loofah, and I am ready to go. It gives me a gentle clean that doesn't dry out my skin, and it leaves my skin feeling so soft, smooth and simply wonderful. After I am done in the shower, my entire bathroom will smell lovely! The scent will last on my skin for a short while, and I find that I can still wear my perfumes after washing, the scent of the body wash doesn't interfere with my fragrances at all.

I have to give this a "run out and buy it now" rating simply because I am so impressed with this body wash. It is everything that I look for in a body wash and so much more!
