Silicone Egg Poachers | Review


These egg poachers are perfect for the kitchen.  They have a 100% nonstick surface and do not need to be oiled.  These poachers will steam-poach eggs in about 5 minutes.  Just crack open an egg; put it in the poacher; place the poacher with egg in a pot of boiling water and then cover the pot.  Poached eggs can be scooped out with a spoon for a beautiful-looking meal.  These egg poachers are FDA approved 100% food-grade silicone, and can be used for poaching, melting, steaming, and warming various food items.  Product will be delivered in a plastic wrap.


I love poached eggs, they are something that I used to have my Grandfather make me as a child. Unfortunately I have no luck at making them the traditional way myself. I always mess them up, they come out runny or watery. Just not pleasant.

The other morning I felt like having poached eggs on toast, so I figured it was a good time to try out these silicone egg poachers. I sprayed a little bit of cooking oil into each poacher, then cracked open a egg into each. I brought my water to a boil, and then put the poachers into the water. They floated on top and no water got inside of the poacher. In under 5 minutes my eggs were done. They were cooked perfectly, and tasted fantastic.

Everything about these poachers are great, except that I found that my eggs did stick a little bit. They didn't stick on too bad, but with these being made of silicone, and me spraying a bit of cooking oil, I really thought these eggs would slide right out, but they didn't. Other than that these are easy to clean, easy to store, and are great to have on hand!
